This is an environment I built as an experiment in how far I could push texture-reusage, without having to rely on alot of different materials. The entire scene uses 2 256*512 textures, one for diffuse and masks, and one for normalmap. I am relying heavily on masking and using UVs in different ways to get the most out of this scene. I wanted to have as much visual fidelity and variation without having to resort to multiple materials per object. The scene was featured at UDK.com as a showcase of the unreal engine.
